Burdwan district bifurcation before next Durga puja: Mamata

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee today said Burdwan district will be officially bifurcated by Durga Puja next year.

The rural and industrial parts of the district will be separated to create two districts, Banerjee said at a government programme at Mangalkot in Burdwan district.

Inaugurating and laying foundation stones of altogether 79 projects, she said the district will get a multi super speciality hospital.

Alleging that the Centre has either stopped or curtailed funds for ICDS, SSA and ASHA, the Chief Minister said the state government is continuing all he schemes with its own limited resources.

In this connection, she said CPI(M), Congress and BJP have left the state in a poor financial condition.

Though she is trying her best, Banerjee said, she failed to satisfy these three.
