Cabinet to approve new Secretariat today, services of Architect Hafeez to be engaged

Hyderabad: Telangana government has decided to construct a model structure for Telangana secretariat on the lines of Karnataka assembly. The construction of a unique new Secretariat reflecting Telangana culture and Kakatiya dynasty and forts, will begin with the approval of cabinet. The construction of new multi-storied, state of art, Secretariat building is likely to be approved by the Telangana State Cabinet on Friday.

Services of Mumbai based architect Hafeez will be engaged. The design will get ready by November end. The complex will be east facing as per Vastu. A beautiful garden will be set up on 6 acre land. The construction is planned to be undertaken on war footing and finished it within one year. The complex is estimated to be built with the cost of nearly Rs 150 crore.

The 10-storeyed building, will have built up area of over 80,000 sq ft. on each floor. The CM also wants a helipad on the premises. A temple, masjid and church, besides a crèche for working mothers would also be set up.
