Calligraphy Exhibition to be inaugurated at Aiwan-e-Urdu today


Hyderabad: According to a press note issued by Prof. S.A. Shukoor, Secretary of Idara-e-Adabiyat-e-Urdu, Mr. A.K. Khan, IPS, DGP of ACB will inaugurate Urdu Calligraphy Exhibition at 11:30 a.m. today at Aiwan-e-Urdu, Punjagutta. Mr. Zahid Ali Khan, Editor of Siasat Urdu Daily will be the Chief Guest. Mr. Zahid Ali Khan told that National Council for Promotion of Urdu Language, Govt. of India declared it a national heritage. It now forms part of new curriculum. SCERT has included it in the syllabus of Urdu medium school.

Founded of Idara-e-Adabiyat-e-Urdu, Dr. Syed Mohiuddin Qadri Zore had started Calligraphy training in 1942. This is being continued till today.
