In a bizarre incident, Raju Chary from Jeedimetla area, aged about 50 yrs created a sensation by cutting his tongue with a blade at C block in Telangana Secretariat which is the office Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao here this evening. The incident saw him bleeding from mouth that created a sort of commotion at the CMO and security personnel immediately rushed him to Medi City Hospital nearby. Raju Chary a carpenter by profession came to the CMO and tried in vain to meet the officials for the same and resorted to the incident it is said. According to information, he was a good carpenter who used to earn better income before statehood movement. However, being a Telangana protagonist Chary reportedly actively participated in the statehood fight and tried to set himself ablaze during the statehood movement which was at its zenith. He is said to have lost his hand fingers and sustained injuries on chest in that incident. Since then on becoming handicapped, Raju Chary kept on trying to get pension and meet local leaders and sought help of officials in vain. As his efforts failed, Raju Chary made it to the CMO to settle the issue and involved in the incident. It is to be seen whether the CM office will react to pathetic incident and offer the victim any pension or financial assistance.(NSS)
