Carve out districts on public opinion only: CS

Giving fillip to the formation of new districts, the State government started finding exclusive offices for Collectorates and Superintendents of Police which hold key for good governance.

Chief Secretary Dr Rajiv Sharma today said the new districts, revenue divisions and mandals will be set up based on public opinion without any political advantages. “There is no politics in this regard as the government was carving out new districts based on public opinion”, he maintained. His remarks assume significance as the government was to take into consideration the public opinion on the formation of new districts, revenue divisions and mandals.

Along with officials, the Chief Secretary inspected temporary buildings selected for Collector and SP offices at new Yadadri district. The officials found Crystal High School near Pagidipally under Bhongir mandal and old B Ed College for SP office on Jagadevpur road. Rajiv Sharma expressed satisfaction at the new buildings selected and left for Suryapet where he will also inspect a few buildings for the purpose.
