Cash-starved people have lost faith in both State & Union govts: Shabbir Ali

Leader of Opposition in the Council Mohammed Ali Shabbir today said the demonetization gimmick of Prime Minister Narendra Modi has bled the common man and caused chaos and insecurity in the country. As there was no relief to the common man even after 20 days, the disillusioned people have lost faith in both the Modi and KCR Governments, he said.

Participating in a protest demonstration before the RBI office here on Monday as part of the “Aaakrosh Day” protest call given by the AICC, Shabbir Ali  said  the people have lost confidence in Modi’s statements and were hesitating to accept the new Rs 500  and Rs 2000 notes. which have printing mistakes. He also assailed Chief Minister KCR for remaining silent to the suffering of daily wagers, petty traders and women, who were all driven to streets before banks and empty ATMs. The Chief Minister has miserably failed to hammer out a solution in spite of his three meetings with the Prime Minister.

TPCC president  Sri Uttam Kumar Reddy and Leader of Opposition in the Assembly K Jana Reddy also participated in the protest and handed over a memorandum to the Regional Director of RBI on the failure of the government to resolve the plight of common man facing acute shortage of change which had paralyzed the economy and badly hit the trade and civil society.
