Ceasefire violations: Pak envoy reaches South Block

New Delhi, Aug. 16 : Pakistan’s High Commissioner to India, Abdul Basit, has reached the South Block here after being summoned by the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) over the recent ceasefire violations.

According to reports, India is expected to register its protest against the killing of innocent civilians along the Line of Control (LoC).

Heavy shelling and firing by Pakistani troops along the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district left six civilians dead and 15 others injured.

Panic has been prevailing among the people living along the border and they have started migrating towards safer places. (ANI)
