Centre not serious on implementation of OROP, says Manish Tiwari

Ludhiana, Sept 6 : Congress leader Manish Tiwari on Sunday said the NDA Government is not serious about implementing the One Rank One Pension (OROP) and is dealing with the ex-servicemen in the most humiliating manner.

“This government is not serious. It do not want to implement one rank one pension. If they were serious, they were to carry forth the decision of the UPA. The manner in which they belittled the ex-servicemen by making them sit in Jantar Mantar is absolutely horrendous and obnoxious. This government has dealt with the ex- servicemen in a most humiliating manner.” Tiwari told ANI.

“The RSS is not the remote control, it is the overt control. And, the RSS has sent a very clear message that the capital of India is no longer New Delhi. It is Nagpur and the Government of India is no longer run by South Block, it is run from the headquarters in Nagpur.”

Reacting to Narendra Modi clicking ‘selfies’ with passengers while flagging off the Badarpur-Faridabad Metro Line today from Faridabad Sports Complex, Tiwari described it as absolutely cheap publicity and suggested that the Prime Ministership of India requires far more gravity. (ANI)
