CEO Waqf Board Asadullah’s term extended

Hyderabad: Government has issued orders to extend the term of Chief Executive Officer Waqf Board Mohammed Asadullah for one year. According to GO Ms. No. 36 issued by Secretary Minority Welfare Syed Omer Jaleel, government has decided to extend the term of Chief Executive Officer. His term expired on October 27. Various quarters launched extensive campaign to stop extension of Mohammed Asadullah’s term but keeping in view government’s aim to protect Waqf properties; his term has been extended for one year.

During the one and a half years of his service, Mr. Asadullah took several measures to protect Waqf properties and improve the performance of Waqf Board which received positive results. He succeeded to cancel registry of several prime properties. He also took action against mutavallis involved in irregularities. Waqf Mafia under the patronage of MIM was pressurising Mohammed Asadullah but he didn’t succumb to the pressure and worked honestly and devotedly.
