Chalo Assembly against “fake” encounters in city on Sept. 30

Demanding an end to fake encounters in the State, several people’s associations and political parties here on Monday announced they would organize a mammoth “Chalo Assembly” program with thousands of people on September 30. Releasing a wall-poster in this connection, Virasam leader Vara Vara Rao, CPI leader Aziz Pasha, MBT leader Amjadullah Khan, Vimalakka, Mohammed Ahmed and others said the “Chalo Assembly” rally would start from Sundarayya Vignana Kendram at Bagh Lingampally at 11 am on September 30 in protest against the recent Maoists’ encounter in Warangal district. They said activists of some 400 people’s associations and ten political parties would participate in the rally.

Demanding that Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao own moral responsibility for the cold-blooded murder of Maoists Sruthi and Sagar in a fake encounter in the Eturunagaram (Medaram) forest area in Warangal district, they demanded that the government order a judicial probe by a sitting judge.

Reminding that TRS supremo KCR had declared that he would bring about Telangana State sans encounters and that he would be a watch dog of the new State, they alleged that the Chief Minister has turned into a wild dog and got Vikaruddin, four other undertrials, Maoists Sruthi and Sagar killed in cold blood in fake encounters.
