Chinese keen on investing in T; team meets official

A Chinese delegation from Changsha, Hunan province met Principal Secretary, Industries and Commerce, Arvind Kumar at the Secretariat today and discussed prospects of investing in the Telangana State.

The Principal Secretary, while welcoming the delegation for coming forward to invest in the State, explained about the new industrial policy and the incentives provided by the government for setting up of industries in the State. He said the State has immense potential for investments in IT, aerospace, pharma, electronics, agriculture based and food processing industries. He said an exclusive Chinese investment zone can be set up in the State which will not only have industrial units but also residential and commercial zones. The Principal Secretary offered to provide 1,000 acres of land for the proposed investment zone in Medak district.

 

The Vice Chairman of Changsha Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference and Director of Transport, Changsha Municipality Liu Mingli has evinced keen interest to invest in Telangana. Managing Director TSIIC E V Narasimha Reddy, Telangana State Trade Promotion Corporation General Manager Venumadhav and other officials attended the meeting. (NSS)
