Chowmahalla Palace’s backyard turns into urinal & dumping yard

Hyderabad: Chowmahalla Palace, the palace of the Nizams of Hyderabad state, which was the seat of the Asif Jahi dynasty and was the official residence of the Nizams of Hyderabad has not lost its grandeur from inside but the rear side of the palace has been turned into a garbage dump and pee ground by the passers-by.

While the traders dump waste along the palace’s wall, people are often seen urinating on the palace wall, resulting in unbearable stench. Even the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) does not seem to be bothered about the pathetic condition of the backyard of the magnificent palace.

GHMC should take note of the matter seriously and ensure cleanliness around the palace besides putting a curb on reckless citizens who are tarnishing the image of the palace.
