CM adopting dual stands on Dharna Chowk: Congress

Hyderabad: TPCC spokesperson Nagesh Mudiraj has alleged that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has been adopting dual stands on the Dharna Chowk at Indira Park. He asked the Chief Minister, who had stated in the Assembly that the Dharna Chowk was not shifted from Indira Park, as to why he did not inform the same to the police.

Speaking to the media at Gandhi Bhavan here on Monday, Nagesh said the Congress approached the Court on Dharna Chowk and expecting a positive verdict in this regard. Reminding that the Dharna Chowk played important role in the Telangana movement, he said the KCR government allotted another Dharna Chowk in a forest area on the City outskirts. He demanded that the State government retain the Dharna Chowk at Indira Park as it was like Legislative Assembly to the people. (NSS)
