Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao today agreed to pay Rs 5 lakh ex gratia to the kin of Sathwik, who died in a road accident at Nirmal recently.
Endowments Minister A Indrakaran Reddy called on the Chief Minister and sought financial assistance and double bedroom facility to the deceased’s family. KCR gave his nod for giving Rs 5 lakh and did not promise anything regarding housing facility. However, the minister said the government would extend all help to the deceased’s family members on humanitarian grounds. Sathwik a Class X student died in a road accident caused by a convoy of the minister on January 14. (NSS)
