CM assures to protect vendors in Old City

Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao has assured MIM MLA Syed Ahmed Pasha Quadri that he would speak to Home Minister Nayani Narasimha Reddy asking him to direct the police not to harass the foothpath vendors in the Old City of Hyderabad.

During his reply to the debate on Motion of Thanks on Governor’s Address in Assembly on Saturday, the Chief Minister said sending vendors to jail was the violation of human rights and he would direct the police authorities against doing so.

The Chief Minister also assured that the transformers in the Old City would be repaired on war footing basis to ensure uninterrupted power supply. Similarly, he said safe drinking water would also be provided to the Old City residents. He thanked the MIM MLA for bringing those issues to his notice. (INN)
