CM confers with Guv on IT, Budget

Hyderabad: Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao today called on Governor ESL Narasimhan at Raj Bhavan here. The Chief Minister, who closeted with the Governor, reportedly discussed on the conclusion of the ongoing budget session that is most likely to be ended on March 29.
The Chief Minister is learnt to have talked about the present scenario in the State and also touched upon issues cropped during the budget session. The meeting assumes significance as the Telangana government was planning to come up with a new IT Policy on April 4 and also the budget session to be concluded by giving its nod to Appropriation Bill on March 29. The present State budget was put at Rs 1.30 lakh crore this year taking a different route from previous tradition.
The ruling party has preferred Plan expenditure account giving more allocations of funds than that of non-plan expenditure in the budget 2016-17. According to BAC, the House will wind up the business on March 29 and if necessary it will resume on the day to extend the session for a couple of days. Other things that must have figured in the crucial meeting are: law and order, allocations to various heads, priority to welfare, irrigation projects, education and health sector. The much hyped KG to PG scheme which remained a non-starter was also cropped up during the meet, it is learnt. (NSS)
