CM flags off Haj pilgrims

Hyderabad: Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhara Rao said that he has a dream of developing the Telangana state and maintain the composite culture of the state.

Speaking to the Haj pilgrims at the Haj Camp at Nampally here on Wednesday evening, the Chief Minister requested them to pray for fulfilling his dream and for the development of the state and progress and welfare of the people. While congratulating the pilgrims for fulfillment of their desire to perform the Haj, a cherished dream of life time,   he said that   millions of people desire of going on pilgrimage, but a very few people get the opportunity. He said that the State Government was keen to solve the problems of stay in Rubat, constructed by the late Nizam of Hyderabad in Makkah, which has been constructed very near to the Ka’aba in Makkah.

KCR said that the Haj pilgrims are considered and treated as the Guests of Allah, therefore they should pray for the welfare and development of the state with core of their heart.

Deputy Chief Minister Mohammed Mahmood Ali thanked the Chief Minister for extending full support to the Haj Committee for making exemplary arrangements for departure of Haj pilgrims from Hyderabad, which was considered as the best embarkation point in the country. He said  that the Chief Minister was ruling over the hearts of four crore people of the State. He said that the Chief Minister gave him instructions six months back, for sorting out the Rubat issue in Makkah, which resulted in getting free accommodation along with free food and free laundry to 597 pilgrims. He further said that the Chief Minister has a desire to see smile and light on the face of every citizen and more particularly he is interested in the welfare and development of minorities. He also prayed the pilgrims for praying for the development of the state and the people.

Special Officer Telangana State Haj Committee Prof. S.A. Shukoor welcomed the gathering and said that over 6,000 pilgrims from Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka districts are going on pilgrimage   from Hyderabad. He expressed his gratitude to the Chief Minister and the Deputy Chief Minister for making the Haj Camp a grand success. He said that better arrangements were also made in the Haj Terminal with provision of   Conveyor Belt and the air conditioning system at the Haj Terminal.

Moulana Mufti Mohammed Khaleel Ahmed Shaik ul Jamia Nizamia prayed for the welfare of the pilgrims and for world peace.

Home Minister N. Narasimha Reddy, Endowments Minister Indra Kiran Karan Reddy, MLC Mohammed Saleem, MLAs Jaffer Hussain Meraj and Aamer Shakeel and senior officials were also present.

The Chief Minister flagged off the Haj pilgrims of third chartered Haj Flight   after the function was over.

Earlier in the early hours of the day, the Deputy Chief Minister flagged off the first flight both at the Haj Camp and the Haj Terminal of Rajiv Gandhi International Airport at Shamsabad. (INN)
