CM to launch first e-bus in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: The first e-bus service is likely to be launched by Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao in a couple of days. It will be first launched on the Jubilee Bus Station-Shamsabad airport route as a pilot project for a few days to check its efficacy.

A battery-operated e-bus with 324 KW of power made by BYD Auto Industry of China was offered to Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) on Wednesday, by Goldstone Infratech, the Indian distributor for the Chinese ebus-maker.

Executive Director for TSRTC’s Greater Hyderabad Zone, A. Purushotham informed that the ebus is environmental-friendly and pollution-free bus. It is 12-metre-long, 31-seater.
