CM to meet PM to take up state issues


Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao today left for national capital and will attend inter-state council meeting to be addressed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday. Modi has extended an invitation to all the chief ministers for the event to be held at Rastrapathi Bhavan on July 16.

The Chief Minister who is to stay in Delhi for three days until Monday is likely to meet with the prime minister and urge him for speedy disposal of pending issues pertaining to high court bifurcation and AP Reorganisation Act and those of schedule 9 and 10 and seek funds for the flagship programs in the state. KCR who is on cloud nine for being reportedly topping the list top performing CMs in India through a survey reportedly conducted by Modi, is to extend him an invitation to launch Mission Bhagiratha, KCR is to ask the Prime Minister to direct AP Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu to take a call on HC bifurcation and stop him coming in the way of irrigation projects. He is to exert pressure on the Centre to resolve the issues of irrigation projects and ask for release of arrears, funding for Irrigation projects, flagship programs of mission kakatiya and mission bhagiratha and welfare schemes. KCR is also to meet with other union ministers like Rajnath Singh, Arun Jaitley, Uma Bharathi, Ravi Shankar Prasad, Anil Madhav Dhave and seek their urgent assistance for addressing the related problems. He is to hold a meeting of his party MPs and prepare them for their strategy in the parliament session. (NSS)
