CM slams Oppn leaders for ridiculing offerings to Gods

Lashing out at the Opposition parties for criticizing him on fulfilling his vows to Gods, Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao advised them to think twice before speaking recklessly.

Speaking to the media here on Friday, after offering golden ‘Kora Meesalu’ (swirling moustaches) to Lord Veerabhadra Swamy at Kuravi, KCR dubbed the Opposition leaders as ‘sannasulu’ for faulting his offerings to the Gods. He also flayed the Communists for making needless allegations and it was painful that a person like CPI national general secretary Suravaram Sudhakar Reddy making such allegations. It was not correct to Suravaram to make allegations on ‘yagam’ did urging the god to bless all to be good. He said that he urged Kuravi Veerabhadra Swamy to make separate Telangana a reality and will offer gold ‘kora meesalu’ on Maha Shivaratri day and fulfilled the same today.

On the occasion, the Chief Minister announced that he will allocate Rs.5 crore for the development of the Kuravi temple and Rs.1 crore each for the development of Dornakal and Maripeda towns. Rs.25 lakh each to 77 gram panchayaths in Dornakal constituency, would be allocated for the development. He said that land acquisition process was over for the Textile Park proposed in Warangal Raural district. Foundation stone will be laid soon for Textile Park soon, he said. He announced that Warangal district will be transformed as Godavari districts with Kaleshwaram project. He assured that adequate irrigation water will be provided for two crops to the Old Warangal district.

Reminding that the Congress leaders did nothing to Telangana though the people gave them chance for 40 long years, he expressed anger at the Congress leaders alleging that they were obstructing the construction of projects. He said that the TRS would expose the Congress attitude in the coming budget session. The Congress leaders were obstructing the projects by filing cases in Green Tribunal and Courts, he alleged and said that the TRS will pull the Congress in the House with proofs.

Dubbing the Congress culture as Cheap Liquor culture, KCR alleged that the Congress leaders’ lives were slavery lives. The slavery Congress leaders have no policy, he blasted and alleged that the Telangana Congress leaders history was the history of carrying bags to the Andhra Chief Ministers. He alleged that the Congress leaders have become a dacoit gang to obstruct the projects and harming the interests of the farmers. He alleged that the people were mere votes in view of Congress leaders and they never cared about the problems of the people.

The Chief Minister reminded that the state government has taken up welfare programs with Rs.36000crore and it was nowhere in India. The state government stepping strongly to strengthen the rural economic system and it was moving towards creating Rs.20,000crore assets. This year the BC’s budget would be Rs.10,000-12,000crore, he said and MBC Corporation would be set up for the nomads. He said that special self respect status would be accorded to Nayi Brahmans and as part of it 30,000 hygienic saloons would be set across the state. State-of-art laundry shops will be set for rajaks. About 88 lakh sheep with Rs.4000 crore will be distributed to Yadavs, he announced and suggested journalists to announce war against the leaders obstructing development.

Earlier, priests of Kuravi Veerabhadra Swamy temple welcomed the Chief Minister with Poorna Khumbham. The Chief Minister offered gold ‘Kora Meesalu’ to Swamy and offered special poojas in the sanctum sanctorum. The priests offered Theertha Prasadalu to the Chief Minister. The Chief Minister prepared gold ‘Kora Meesalu’ with 20.28 grams worth Rs.62,908. Deputy Chief Minister Kadiyam Srihari, Endowments Minister A Indrakaran Reddy, MP Seetharam Naik and MLA Redya Naik and district TRS leaders were present. (NSS)
