Hyderabad: Tempted by agents, college girl students are selling their eggs to fertility centres without knowing health hazards.
Poor students of rural areas suffer from malnutrition. Agents exploit this situation and tempt them to sell their eggs.
A student of intermediate student from Nalgonda district who donated her eggs earlier told that agents choose beautiful girls to get their eggs.
She further told that the agents verify medical history of the family members and supply medicines and injections related to hormones. She said that she received Rs. 10,000 in a month for donating her egg. Medicines are given to get more eggs.
It is learnt that many college girls are donating eggs to meet their pocket expenses since they belong to poor families. They do not realize that in the future they have to face many health problems.
