College of Islamic studies started at Maahad

Hyderabad: Under the patronage of Hazrat Mohammed Khwaja Shareef Shaik-ul-Hadith of Jamia Nizamia, a college of Islamic studies has been established in which education would be imparted at graduation level. This will include a teaching of Arab language and literature. The syllabus has been framed by experts in the field. This course has been started to link the students of modern education with the knowledge of the Quran and Hadith. It is a three-year course consisting of 6 semesters. The course contents include Quranic interpretation, Hadith and Arabic literature.

An attempt is being made to get this course recognized by various universities. In view of the increasing importance of translation, stress has been given on the translation of Arabic language into English language and vice versa.

A separate section for girls will also be set up. Hotel arrangements would be made for the outstation candidates.
