Ballia: A lecturer allegedly shot dead his wife and son in Badsari Jageer village following a dispute, police said today.
Manoj Singh, lecturer at a private college, shot dead his wife Neelam (40) and son Rahul (20) late last night, SP Manoj Kumar Jha said, adding that Singh had initially claimed that his son had committed suicide after killing his wife.
Singh had reportedly been pressurising his wife for divorce and she had moved an application for alimony, the SP said adding that both suspected each other of having extra marital affairs.
The accused has been arrested and the bodies sent for post-mortem, the SP added.
