Hyderabad: A meeting was held at the office of Majlis Tameer-e-Millat at Madina Mansion under the chairmanship of its President, Mr. Mohammed Abdur Raheem Quraishi to consider the campaign launched by All India Muslim Personal Law Board for “Deen Bachao, Dastoor Bachao (Save religion, save constitution)”. A committee was constituted and it was decided to appoint incharges at district levels. Severe anger was expressed on the increasing injustices and religious interventions for minorities in India. Besides protecting Constitution of India, it was also declared inevitable to protect religion. It was decided to intensify the campaign launched by All India Muslim Personal Law Board. It was also decided to organize public meetings on large scales in Hyderabad, Kareem Nagar, Warangal, Zaheerabad, Kurnool, Guntur and Vijaywada in order to create an awareness in the public.
Cow slaughter, Surya Namaskar and Intolerance were the issues discussed in the meeting. Convener of “Deen Bachao, Dastoor Bachao (Save religion, save constitution)” campaign, Maulana Khalid Saifullah Rahmani, Secretary, All India Muslim Personal Law Board, Maulana Syed Shah Qubool Pasha Qadri, Maulana Raheemuddin Ansari, Joint Convener, Dr. Asma Zehra and others attended the meeting.
Maulana Wali Rahmani is the convener of this campaign at national level. In his presidential address, Mr. Mohammed Abdur Raheem Quraishi apprised the participants of the meeting of the latest situation in the country and said that it is inevitable to struggle by taking the support of secular individuals and Minorities. Representative personalities of Minorities and Secular individuals would be invited for these meetings to make them a people’s movement. It was also decided to invite Christian leaders to these meetings.
