Sudden police vigilance and combing operation has sparked fear among the residents of Hyderabad. South Zone police suddenly took to streets and conducted combing operation creating an atmosphere of fear. Top police officials claim that there is no terror threat however it is being done as precautionary measure. Police on the other hand have made elaborate arrangements in view of December 6.
Hyderabad police conducted “cordon and search” operations in certain areas on Monday, and Tuesday.
Deputy Commissioner of Police Central Zone Mr. V B Kamal Sen told that these steps are taken on the direction of City Police Commissioner. He told that combing operation was conducted simultaneously at 27 places. Three teams were set up in police station and 75 places were covered. 8 suspects were taken into custody. He comforted the residents that there is no need to fear as Hyderabad police is with the people.
