Confident Maganti takes charge as GHMC TDP chief

Greater Hyderabad TDP president and Jubilee Hills MLA Maganti Gopinath here on Sunday questioned the TRS government as to why it withdrew its decision to change the Metro Rail Alignment at Legislature Building in the city.

           

Assuming office as president of Greater Hyderabad TDP unit this morning, Gopinath said they would make untiring efforts to strengthen the party in the Greater Hyderabad. He exuded confidence that the TDP in alliance with the BJP would sweep the municipal elections in the Greater Hyderabad. His party’s goal was to sweep GHMC elections.

           

Accompanied by a large number of party workers, the new president of Greater Hyderabad TDP unit went in a procession to the city TDP office from the NTR Trust Bhavan. Demanding that the KCR government hold GHMC elections immediately, Gopinath said his party would prove its strength by sweeping the civic poll whenever the polls are held. He also demanded that Talasani Srinivas Yadav, who defected to the ruling from TDP and became minister should resign from the cabinet immediately. (NSS)
