Hyderabad: Congress leaders here on Monday lashed out at party MLA Puvvada Ajay Kumar and MLC Farooq Hussain for joining the ruling TRS party for selfish ends.
Speaking to the media at Gandhi Bhavan here on Monday, senior leaders M Kodanda Reddy and Niranjan said Ajay Kumar made false remarks against the Congress saying that it was not giving adequate importance and identity and made it clear that the Congress party did a lot.
They alleged that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, instead of assisting the people, who were facing troubles with the severe drought, was encouraging defections forgetting his responsibilities. They said the Congress party will launch protests at all mandal headquarters across the State against the TRS government’s failure in taking up drought relief works. (NSS)
