Congress extends support to Advocates & lawyers’ stir

Extending Congress party’s support to the ongoing agitation of the Telangana advocates and Judges, CLP leader K Jana Reddy and TPCC Chief N Uttam Kumar Reddy have demanded that the State government mount pressure on the Centre to initiate steps for the division of the High Court immediately.

           

Jana Reddy, in a pressnote stated that Telangana was meted out injustice in the High Court division and appointment of Judges in Telangana State due to the inordinate delay in division of the High Court. He urged the Telangana government to withdraw suspension on the Judges and solve the issue immediately.

           

Jana Reddy also urged the Centre to approach the Supreme Court to solve the problem of the division of the Court immediately. Jana Reddy said the Congress will extend its support to the State government with regard to its efforts to solve the problem approaching Supreme Court and Centre. (NSS)
