The Telangana Congress party has suffered a major shock with its MP from Nalgonda Gutha Sukhender Reddy, Miryalguda MLA N. Bhaskar Rao, former MP G. Vivek and ex-minister G. Vinod announcing their decision to quit the Congress to join ruling TRS. CPI MLA Ravinder Naik too would be joining the TRS.

He said although he was seriously working to strengthen the party, Congress was becoming weak every day.

Gutha said he, along with MLAs Bhaskar Rao and Ravindra Naik and Vivek and Vinod, would be joining the TRS on June 15 in the presence of Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao. He said that some projects initiated by the TRS Government would lead to massive development of Nalgonda district. He said he would extend full cooperation in completion of Yadadari Power Plant and Dindi Lift Irrigation Scheme in Nalgonda district.
