Congress to hold peace rally from Charminar today


As a prelude to Telangana Bandh on October 10, the Congress party will conduct a ‘Peace Rally’ from Charminar to Gandhi Statue at Secunderabad on Friday.

Addressing a press conference at Gandhi Bhavan on Thursday, Greater Hyderabad Congress president Danam Nagender said that rally would begin at Charminar at 10 AM. He said that the rally was aimed at appealing the business community to voluntarily participate in Telangana Bandh on October 10.

Danam also informed that all senior leaders of Congress party would stage protest at major bus stations in Hyderabad on Saturday during the Telangana Bandh to prevent plying of RTC buses. TPCC Chief N. Uttam Kumar Reddy and former minister M. Mukesh Goud will hold protest at Mahatma Gandhi Bus Station; Leader of Opposition K. Jana Reddy, MLC Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy and former Mayor Banda Karthika Reddy at Jubilee Bus Station; TPCC Working President Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka and MLC MS Prabhakar at Sanathnagar; Leader of Opposition Mohammed Ali Shabbir and Youth Congress president Anil Kumar Yadav at Mehdipatnam Bus Station; former minister Marri Shashidhar Reddy at Sanathnagar; ex-MLA Vishnuvardhan Reddy at Kukatpally; Rajya Sabha MP MA Khan at Falaknuma; MP V. Hanumantha Rao at Barkatpura and Danam Nagender and P. Vinay Kumar at Musheerabad. (INN)
