Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee president N. Uttam Kumar Reddy on Friday informed that that the Congress party would hold meetings from 3rd to 7th January to review preparations for forthcoming GHMC elections.
The TPCC chief informed that a division-level meeting would be held at Gandhi Bhavan on January 3 wherein Election Observers would be appointed for all 150 wards. The party will start accepting applications for party tickets from January 4. Assembly-level meetings will be held on January 5 and local division-level workers’ views will be sought on candidates. On January 6, booth-level and Division-level meeting will be held and incharges for all Divisions will be nominated.
Uttam Kumar Reddy said that the Congress party would launch door-to-door campaigning in the entire GHMC area from January 7 onwards. He said that the party would consider giving tickets to settlers if they wish to contest the GHMC polls. (INN)
