Congress leaders falsely implicated in TRS corporator’s murder case: Uttam

Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) President  N. Uttam Kumar Reddy on Monday accused the TRS Government of falsely implicating Warangal Congress leaders in the murder case of TRS Corporator Anishettty Murali Manohar.

In an Open Letter to Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao, Uttam Kumar Reddy said that the police have falsely implicated Warangal DCC President Nayini Rajender Reddy and two other Congress leaders, Pothula Sreeman and Kanuganti Shekhar, as “Conspirators” in the murder case of  Murali Manohar. He pointed out that the corporator was killed on July 13, 2017, and those who committed the offence voluntarily surrendered in the Police Station and admitted to the crime. “As per media reports, the prime accused in the murder case have described motive behind the crime as previous enmity as Murali Manohar was an accused in the murder case of their father (B. Janardhan). Despite their confession, it is really shocking that the Warangalpolice, under political pressure, mentioned the Congress leaders as A4, A5 and A6 as ‘Conspirators’ to falsely implicate them in the murder case,” he said.

Uttam Kumar Reddy said that in the remand report filed by the Police, it is shown that A4, A5 and A6 conspired in the above murder in December 2015. “It is important to mention that N. Rajender Reddy, DCC President, lost his only grown up son (studying engineering at Hyderabad) in a road accident on November 25, 2015. It is impossible that Rajender Reddy who was engulfed in the tragedy of his only son’s loss in an accident could be conspiring of a murder,” he said.

The TPCC Chief, therefore, demanded that the Chief Minister direct the Director General of Police to order a re-inquiry by other than present investigating/ supervising officers so that innocent persons are not falsely implicated in murder case under political pressures.(NSS)
