Congress ran away from CM’s PPP: Kavitha

Hyderabad: Ruling party MP from Nizamabad K Kavitha today accused the main Opposition Congress party of lacking guts and ran away from attending Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao’s power point presentation on irrigation projects in Assembly during budget session.
Speaking to media persons after giving away cheques to the kin of deceased TRS activists at TRS Bhavan here on Monday, Kavitha sought to know the funds spent by the previous regime for Pranahita-Chevella project. She vehemently criticized the Congress leaders for “pocketing” crores of rupees in the name of mobilistaion advances for the projects. The TRS Government has no such ill-culture of swindling public money and instead giving priority for the projects, she said.
Kavitha ridiculed the Congress for lacking guts to witness the Irrigation policy presented by the Chief Minister. The Congress skipped KCR’s presentation by showing lame excuses, she said. “KCR fetched Telangana unmindful of his own life for statehood”, she said, adding that the Chief Minister was determined to complete the projects and give priority to address issues of people. Stating that the redesigning of projects was a part of rebuilding of Telangana to tap ample waters for irrigation, Kavitha took exception to the Congress for making false criticism against the government on the irrigation projects. She also slammed the Telugu Desam leaders for not trying to obstruct the RDS project near Mahbubnagar. “We are ready for a debate on the irrigation projects if the Opposition wants to”, she added.
