Minority Welfare Department has decided to take strict action against those involved in contract marriages, to put a curb on the menace. It is likely that the government will impose the condition of obtaining NOC from respective Police Commissioner for any foreign national to marry a local girl in Telangana.
Minority Welfare Department is submitting proposals to the government in this connection so that legal action can be taken against those involved in contract marriages. Following a recent incident of contract marriage occurred in old city, Secretary Minority Welfare Syed Omer Jaleel talked to the officials and decided to take concrete steps in this regard.
