Jaipur: An assistant sub-inspector of police was arrested in Kota today by the Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) of Rajasthan for allegedly taking bribe of Rs 15,000.
The accused, ASI Hamid, posted at a police station which deals with road accidents in Kota city, had demanded the bribe from one Kuldeep Surana claiming that his car was involved in an accident and that an FIR had been registered against him.
After verification of the complaint, a team of ACB laid a trap and nabbed Hamid while taking the bribe of Rs 15,000.
He has been arrested under the Prevention of Corruption Act, IG (ACB) V K Singh said.
