Cop guarding Pakistan President’s residence shot dead

Karachi: A security personnel deployed for the security of President Mamnoon Hussain’s Karachi residence was shot dead today.

According to police, Zahid Shah was fired by unknown gunmen at Karimabad Bridge this morning when he was returning home.

Shah died on the spot. The 32-year-old victim was personnel of Special Security Unit (SSU) and deployed for security of President Mamnoon Hussain’s house in Karachi, DIG East Feroz Shah told media.

His body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed hospital for medico-legal formalities.
