Copper prices remain up on increased demand

New Delhi: Copper prices advanced by Rs 2 per kg at the non-ferrous metal market today due to pick up in demand from consuming industries.

However, other base metals continued to move in a narrow range in scattered deals and settled around previous levels.

 Traders said increased demand from consuming industries at domestic spot market kept copper prices higher.

In the national capital, copper mixed scrap moved up by Rs 2 to Rs 379 per kg.

Following are today’s metal rates (in Rs per kg):

Zinc ingot Rs 107-113, Nickel plate (4×4) Rs 845-850, gun metal scrap Rs 227, Bell metal scrap Rs 229, copper mixed scrap Rs 379, chadri deshi Rs 295.

Lead ingot Rs 92, lead imported Rs 98, aluminium ingots Rs 156, aluminium sheet cutting Rs 152, aluminium wire scrap Rs 152 and aluminium utensils scrap Rs 150.
