Rachakonda traffic police in coordination with “amrita Foundation society” lead by Dr. Devika rani, today started one to one counseling session for drunken driving offenders at traffic training institute, LB Nagar.
“Mission smart ride”, by Nageshwar Rao – a self help group and Telangana rehabilitation association have also taken part in this program. This counseling process would continue for the next six months as a pilot study and based on the study, intervention methods will be incorporated to reduce the Drunken driving attitude in the public.
Following officers attended the counseling of around 100 offenders today: Mahesh Bhagwat, commissioner of police, Cyberabad East, Ramesh Naidu, deputy commissioner of police, traffic, Cyberabad East. Divya Charan Rao, Addl. DCP, traffic, Cyberabad east and staff of traffic branch Cyberabad East Commissionerate at Rahakonda (NSS)
