UP Court directs police to register FIR against Mallya

Lucknow: The Chief Judicial Magistrate Court (CJM) court in Bulandshahr has ordered to register an FIR against liquor baron Vijay Mallya and former Kingfisher Airlines Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Sanjay Aggarwal after an ex-airlines pilot filed case over pending salary dues.

The complaint was filed in the court by advocate Rajendra Prasad Sharma, father of the pilot Akash Sharma.

It is reported that Kingfisher Airlines have allegedly not deposited a sum of Rs. Seven lakh deducted as tax deducted at source (TDS) from the salary of a pilot employed with the airlines.

The airlines had also not given him the salary from August 2012 to November 2014. After which, the father of the pilot issued a notice to the airlines. The airlines then paid the salary of one year but did not deposit the TDS amount in Akash’s account.

The Chief Judicial Magistrate has, therefore, directed the police to register the FIR against Mallya and Aggarwal for not paying the salary of eight months and not depositing the TDS amount. (ANI)
