Hyderabad: AP State secretary of communist party of India, K Ramakrishna, on Thursday demanded the state Andhra Pradesh government to take Immediate action to render justice to the Agri- gold depositors, by repaying their amounts after auctioning its properties.
In a letter to chief minister Chandrababu Naidu, he stated that nearly 32 Lakh people from Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Odisha, and Karnataka have deposited crores of rupees in Agri gold, and they are all from poorer and middle class sections.
As the finance company cheated the depositors, they are left with no option but to commit suicide. Agents of the company were also under depression. Keeping these facts in view, the government should take action to auction the Company’s properties and repay the depositors, he requested.(NSS)
