CPIM to Launch Movements on Peoples’ Problems

The CPI-M has decided to launch struggles on peoples’ problems and to strengthen the party and the left movement.

The party is holding its plenary at Nagarjunsagar near here. On the second day today, the plenary decided to fight out the anti-people and anti-worker policies of the Governments. CPI-M Telangana secretary T Veerabhadram told newsmen that the meeting demanded the Government to take back all the Municipal workers who were removed from service. It regretted that the Government has not even taken note of the 55 day old strike by the Asha workers. It was decided to undertake a ‘begging programme’ on October 31 and give the income to the Asha workers in the State.

On the second day, the party was deliberating on the political situation in the State and the strategy to be adopted by the party on peoples’ problems. Nearly 500 delegates from the ten districts of the State are participating in the plenary. Polit Bureau Member B V Raghavulu, Central Committee member Mallu Swarajyam and other leaders are participating in the event. (NSS)
