New Delhi: A 24-year-old labourer was today allegedly crushed to death by a crane at Tilak Marg near ITO after he accidentally fell while assisting the crane driver in moving the equipment for laying CNG pipeline, police said today.
Vipin Kumar, a resident of Bihar, was giving direction to the crane driver when fell after one of his leg got entangled in a rope.
He was run over by the crane being used for laying CNG pipeline, said a police officer.
He was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital where he was declared dead by the doctors.
Kumar’s family has been informed.
A case of causing death by negligence has been registered in connection with the accident, he added.
