Create new districts for administrative ease, not for politics KCR told

TPCC working president Bhatti Vikramarka said that the creation of new district was not being done scientifically and was aimed at driving political mileage by the ruling TRS.

Speaking to the media persons, after attending the all party meeting on the creation of new districts, the Congress leader said that the creation of the new district should be based on Districts (formation) Act of 1974. He questioned as to why the government was not creating new districts from Hyderabad that has over 44 lakh population. When the government wants to divide Adilabad district saying that it would helps in administration, then it should also divide Hyderabad district that has a huge population, the congress leader said.

In the all party meeting BJP demanded that the new districts should be created for administrative convenience and on the basis of population. The party also demanded the creation of Komrambheem, Jayshankar and Sammakka Saralamma districts.

CPM secretary Tammineni Veerabhadram wanted Bhadrachalam and Jangaon district. (INN)
