Hostel owner arrested for rape attempt
(Siasat News): S R Nagar police has arrested a man who had attempted to rape a girl after giving intoxicants to her.
Inspector S R Nagar Mr. Waheeduddin said that following the complaint of the girl, a case was registered against Narendra Reddy. The accused is the native of Guntur. Narendra Reddy runs a ladies hostel in B K Guda. A girl had come to the hostel three days back and wanted to go back yesterday.
However, Narendra Reddy intervened in the matter and discontinued her talks with the hostel management and call the girl to a park. From there, they went to a hotel and there Narendra Reddy gave her drug-infected cigarette and attempted to rape her.
The girl somehow, managed to set herself free from the clutches of the accused and immediately contacted the police.
Forced marriage alliance led girl to suicide
(Siasat News): A girl who was very upset as her parents were finalizing the marriage alliance without her consent.
According to Uppal police, the deceased Hemavathi, 29, was the resident of Raghuvendra Nagar colony. Her family members were in a hurry to fix her marriage as she was not showing any interest.
When she realized that her family members are not going to change their mind, she mixed petrol in the injection and took the extreme step of ending her life by administering the lethal injection.
Though she was taken to the hospital but succumbed during the treatment. Uppal police is further investigating.
Aged man’s dead body found
(Siasat News): The dead body of a 70 to 75 years old man was found at Saat Amrai in Shamshabad. Shamshabad RGI sub-inspector Mohd. Nasir said that the dead body is found in suspicious circumstances.
Police is trying to trace the relatives of the dead.
