Irregularities in Shaadi Mubarak Scheme, Sr. Asstt. Arrested

(Siasat News): The Anti-Corruption Bureau which is investigating the alleged irregularities in Shaadi Munarak Scheme has arrested a senior assistant belonged to department of minorities welfare. In the meantime, deputy superintendent of police Mr. Prabhakar Rao said that there are reports that in Shaadi Mubarak Scheme irregularities are the order of the day in Telangana District and that is why almost all the applications are thorougly scrutinized.

He added that during the investigations, a unique case come to the fore where one Sultana Begum of Shaheen Nagar had claimed that she was getting married and fake documents were submitted in this connection.

This is how the allocated Rs. 51,000 was also claimed. Mr. Rao further said that the senior assistant of department of minorities welfare Mr. Zaheeruddin is arrested.

When the application of Sultana Begum was scrutinized, it was disclosed that she got married to one Mohd. Jahangir on June 9 2013 at Ahmed Manzil function Hall and the couple have two children whereas the persons who were involved in impersonation, claimed that Sultana and Jahangir got married on January 7, 2015 with the help of their Aadhar Cards and a sum of Rs. 51,000 was withdrawn from Indian Bank, Pahadi Shareef branch.

According to Mr. Rao, Zaheeruddin was assigned the duty of scrutinizing the applications received in connection with Shaadi Mubarak Scheme but he had acted irresponsibly.

Zaheeruddin had scrutinized 50 to 60 applications and it is suspected that out of these nearly 10 applications are likely to be fake. Further investigations are on to unveil the irregularities done on high scale.

Road accident on the rise, 7 dead

(Siasat News): It seems that the accident rate in the city and the outskirts is on the rise as can be gauged by the spell of accidents.

In Hayathnagar, three persons died in ghastly road accident. They were travelling in a car and at the time of the accident six persons were there in it.

According to Chaderghat police one Ramchander, 61, resident of Saeedabad colony, met with a road accident when he was passing from the area on his bike. He had sustained severe injuries and died in the hospital.

In a bizarre case at Vidyanagar, one Sai Prakash, 27, was standing near a footpath when all of a sudden; an uncontrolled school van fatally hit him. Similarly, one Kiran Kumar, 26, resident of Begumpet, was riding a bike with his friend Akheel as pillion rider, met with a ghastly road accident.

Though he was taken to the hospital but he succumbed to his injuries. 29-year-old Salim, a painter by profession and resident of Bhola Nagar, hit by a speeding lorry when he was crossing the road near Crescent Hospital at Masab Tank.

Police has registered all the cases and investigations are on.
