Man found dead in a hotel

(Siasat News): A man from Golconda area of the city found dead in a hotel in Saifabad.

Police sources said that 45-year-old Mohd. Amjad, a letter pad maker by profession, was the resident of Qazi Gulli in Golconda. Yesterday, he had left his house saying that he was going to attend a function.

However, later in the evening he was found dead in a room of a hotel situated at Lakdi-ka-pul. Police has registered a case of suspicious death and further investigations are on.

Two persons electrocuted to death

(Siasat News): Two persons electrocuted to death at Chilkalguda where they were busy in arrangements in a pooja mandap.

Police said that 22-year-old Shiva Kumar and his associate Kalyan, 16, sustained severe burn injuries that proved fatal.

The deceased were the residents of Mettuguda and were busy in arrangements of Ayyappa Swami’s special pooja. A case has been registered and further investigations are on.

Inter-state notorious thief arrested

(Siasat News): Tukaramgate police has arrested an inter-state notorious thief and recovered stolen goods valued at Rs. 8 lakh from his possession.

It is said that P Kiran Kumar, 30, was the native of Bapatla, dist. Guntur and was involved in theft cases since 2005.

Police said that during his conviction in jail, he had befriended the members of Stewart Puram gang and after his release from jail; he committed 38 burglaries in Kothagudem, Kahammam, Palavancha and Hyderabad.

There are 11 non-bailable warrants pending against him. He used to commit the crime with the help of his two accomplices Jagdish and Radha Krishna and used to sell the stolen goods to a goldsmith Balachari, resident of Addagutta, Secunderabad.

Police also recovered 21 tolas gold ornaments, motor cycles, laptops, US dollars and other items valued at Rs. 8 lakh.
