Men duped woman in the name of lucky draw

(Siasat News): The Cyber Crime Team of Central Crime Station (CCS) arrested a gang of conmen who has been duping the people in the name of Aircel lucky draw.

Deputy Commissioner of Police Detective Department Mr. Avinash Mohanty said that one Jameela Begum w/o Mir Yusuf Ali, resident of Sattar Bagh, Shama Talkies had received many mobile phone calls where she was informed that she had won an Aircel lucky draw worth Rs. 25,00,000.

However, she was instructed to deposit some money in lieu of taxes and miscellaneous expenses in various banks.

Jameela Begum immediately obliged and deposited a big amount of Rs. 5,00,000. After that she tried to contact those people who had phoned her on the same number but she did not get any response.

Later, she lodged a complaint with Cyber Crime Police. Mr. Mohanty said that they culprits were traced in Kolkata with the help of their mobile phones and later they were shifted to Hyderabad.

The gang of conmen was comprised of Rajneesh, Balaji, Pratap Singh and Suresh Pandey.

Gang involved in Sandalwood theft arrested

(Siasat News): Golconda police has arrested a 3-member-gang involved in the theft of Sandalwood trees from the historic Seven Tombs.

Assistant Commissioner of Police Asifnagar Mr. Ghouse Mohiuddin said that on May 23, some unknown persons had cut ten Sandalwood trees in the concourse of Seven Tombs and had stolen its wood.

Golconda police has registered a case and had started the investigations. Crime Team, in the meantime, on the basis of suspicion, has arrested three persons Jani Miya, Khaja Mohiuddin and Mohd. Waheed, all from Medak.

They were grilled and ultimately they admitted to have committed the crime. They said that after entering Seven Tombs, they cut the Sandal trees and shifted them to their native place.

Inspector Golconda Mr. Syed Fayaz has recovered the stolen sandalwood. A manhunt is launched to trace two absconding thieves.
