Crisis in Telangana Congress – Digvijay Singh to visit Hyderabad today

Hyderabad: Congress High Command commissioned Captain Uttam Kumar Reddy, T-Congress President to New Delhi in the wake of crisis in Telangana Congress. Mr. Digvijay Singh, General Secretary of Congress is visiting Hyderabad today. He will review the latest political system in a meeting to be held at Gandhi Bhavan today. He will find out the reasons for defections. Congress party which had given Telangana is facing the crisis of getting the status of opposition leader. So far, 7 Congress MLAs have joined TRS. Today, one MP, one MLA and one former Minister are going to join TRS. Congress is facing political crisis in the State. It has high hopes in Telangana State. Those leaders who wanted to get TRS merger into Congress are now joining TRS ditching Congress which increases the anxiety of Congress High Command.

In order to find out the reasons for defections, Congress High Command commissioned T-Congress President, Captain Uttam Kumar Reddy to New Delhi. Mr. Reddy met senior leaders of Congress in New Delhi and apprised them of the reasons for defections.

It is learnt that in order to stop senior Congress leaders going into TRS, Mr. Digvijay Singh is being sent to Hyderabad. In charge Secretary of Telangana Congress Affairs, Mr. R. C. Kantia and in charge of SC cell, Mr. K. Raju have also been advised to reach Hyderabad today.

A meeting of T-Congress coordination committee has been convened in Gandhi Bhavan today in which these the representatives of High Command would participate. They would review the present situation and evolve a strategy to stop Congress leaders from joining TRS. Fingers are being pointed out at T-Congress President’s leadership also.
