CRPF DIG dies of heart attack

Latur: A DIG-rank officer of paramilitary force CRPF today died of a heart attack.

Officials said that DIG BN Singh, posted at the Recruit Training Centre of Central Reserve Police Force here, complained of severe chest pain after which he was taken to a hospital in Nanded.

“He breathed his last at the hospital. Singh was 52. He had suffered a heart attack,” an official said.

Singh had joined CRPF in 1987 as a direct entry officer and hailed from Moradabad in Uttar Pradesh. He is survived by his wife, a son and a daughter.
