CRPF soldier committed suicide in Chhattisgarh

Raipur: A CRPF soldier shot himself with his service weapon at his paramilitary’s camp in Dhamtari, Chhattisgarh on Friday afternoon, the police had informed.

Manish Sharma, superintendent of Dhamtari district told that Constable Jeewan Lal Kuldeep (38) was residing in his camp at Mechka village in Nagri region, who belonged to 211th battalion of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) when he Shot himself with his service rifle, reported Telangana Today.

He further stated that Jeewan was on his duty when he took this step. On hearing the gunshot, his colleagues rushed towards him and found him bleeding to death. He was taken to the hospital, where he was declared dead, the SP informed.

The constable was the native of a village in Dhamtari district. The reason for his suicide is still ambiguous. His family has been informed and a case has been registered, as per the SP.
